Annual Jumping Equitation & Showjumping Competitions Held At Tamborine Pony Club
Tamborine Pony Club recently hosted their annual Jumping Equitation and Showjumping Competitions over two days. There was a good representation from Clubs within our Zone [Tamborine, Greenbank, Jimboomba, Oxenford, Nerang, Beaudesert, Tallebudgera, Mudgeeraba, Fassifern and Southport]. There were also riders from other clubs outside our Zone, with the farthest being from Stanthorpe: it is great to see our events supported and it is good to have a diversity of riders.
Both days ran well. It was pleasing to see the increase in numbers for the Jumping Equitation competition as this is a competition which judges the rider and horse as they jump a course and is a great training tool as they progress in their showjumping. The Showjumping Competition ran well with riders presenting themselves to the Showjumping judges promptly. The courses, designed by the coursebuilders, also were varied and presented a challenge.
It was also good to see some younger, inexperienced competing in the unofficial classes on both days and gaining experience and confidence.
Results for the Jumping Equitation were decided over two rounds, and the official riders in the Showjumping were completed in three different competitions, an AM5, an AM7 and a Power and Speed,
with the accumulated results over these three competitions to decide the overall winners. (see chart below)
Many thanks to Dynavyte for their donation of Microbiome Support and Impulso which were used as prizes and to the Sand and Soil Company for supplying most of our rosettes. The Bearded Dragon Boutique Hotel was the major sponsor, with the winner of each Official Showjumping class receiving a great travel bag: many thanks to the Bearded Dragon for their continued support of this event.
It was a great effort by the members of Tamborine Pony Club who set up, organized and ran both days.
