Anzac Day Service Held At King’s College
Students from King’s Christian College Logan Village participated in the Annual ANZAC Day Remembrance Service on Friday 23 April 2021.
The students and staff paid tribute to those who have sacrificed and served in the armed forces for our freedom. They honoured those who demonstrated the ANZAC character values of courage, self-sacrifice, perseverance and mateship.
Wreaths were laid by Year 4 student leaders Tallen Piasecki-Butler and Sarah Solomon, Mrs Kerry Menck (Treasurer of the Logan Village RSL Sub Branch) and Mrs Robyn Kiely (on behalf of the parent community).
The guest speaker was Mrs Jan Fuller, one of the founding members of King’s Christian College in 1980.
Mr Peter Fossey, Head of Primary, King’s Christian College Logan Village said, “By building our students’ understanding about the traditions and facts of ANZAC Day, the sacrifice and heroism of everyday Australians will not be lost, but instead will be handed down to future generations as we strive for peace.”
