MAIN ROADS
I have requested a meeting with the Main Roads Regional Manager about the number of accidents that have happened in the last 12 months at the Canungra turnoff on Beaudesert Beenleigh Rd Tamborine. I will not be speculating what improvements need to happen and will leave that to the experts. Always be alert Tom oncoming traffic at any intersection.
BUDGET
We are again in budget deliberations and this has been a difficult time trying to limit any increase to the ability of ratepayers to fund Council Operations. Asset management (roads, bridges and culverts) is a major factor on my mind when it comes to budget. We can not afford to let our infrastructure deteriorate where we would not need able to catch up with replacements with our small budget. I will have more to say in the next edition.
