Motorcycles Collide Near Lions Markets
On 5 September 2021, on Father’s Day morning, two motorcycles collided along Waterford-Tamborine Road near Tamborine Memorial Hall. The accident occurred while the Tamborine Village Lions Market was in progress and caused the road to be closed off from the round-a-bout. A man in his 50’s suffered leg injuries and was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition. A woman in her 60’s was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, also in a serious condition.
Also on 5 September 2021, a 19 year old Calamvale man died at the scene following a two-vehicle crash at Cedar Vale when his vehicle collided with another travelling in the opposite direction along Mount Lindesay Highway.
