Couple In 50’s Fall Over Witches Falls
On 10 October 2021, a couple in their 50s sustained injuries when they fell three metres over Witches Falls on Tamborine Mountain. After being rescued by emergency services personnel they were air lifted to Gold Coast Hospital.
On 28 March 1908, ‘Witches Falls National Park’ was the first National Park to be proclaimed in Queensland. Comments are that the “falls themselves are quite sheer and dangerous” and that care must be taken when traversing the falls, tracks, and stairs as the rocks can be quite slippery and loose.
