Rain Contributes To Accidents In Local Areas
During November, quite a few accidents have occured in Tamborine with vehicles sliding uncontrollably across the slippery road surfaces due to the current extensive rainfall.
In the last week of November, two vehicles came to grief on the mountain road, a sedan before the North Tamborine sign (pictured), and a 4WD higher up near the Piano Rock, which earlier suffered a minor landslide at 5am as well.
The day before also saw a van overturn in the slippery conditions outside of the Bearded Dragon Hotel. Emergency services were quickly on the scene to all three accidents. Two of the vehicles (including the van) were quickly removed.
MyPolice have since issued a road safety reminder noting many wet days ahead with the forecast predicting rain to continue throughout the month and a wet Summer ahead.
