Just Turn Up And Say “I’m Here!”
Sitting at home one day, local resident, Janice Reid wondered how many other people were sitting at home – just like her – with a desire for social interaction or some community engagement – or to just have a cup of coffee with others!
She felt with the ‘work – life – family’ balance, a bit more ‘life’ added into the mix would be a good thing. And so with the establishment of the new Village Roastery in Tamborine, the concept of the ‘Tamborine Coffee Club’ was born!

Janice tells how, through community care work, it seems there are a lot of people on properties in the area who don’t often get to see or talk to others. The new coffee club provides a focus on meeting new people, getting to know people in the immediate environment, and making connections and friendships with others who have similar interests. “So who is up for a coffee?!”
The club gathers every 2nd Wednesday and 2nd Friday at The Village Roastery. Check out Facebook – Tamborine Coffee Club.
