Tamborine Mountain Bridge Club Pairs Championships
On Thursday 18th August, the Tamborine Mountain Bridge Club Pairs Championships took place with 30 members competing for the TMBC Cup, an open event and the TMBC Novice Plate, an event for members with fewer than 100 master points.
Bill and Di Larcombe were the winners of both competitions, an incredible achievement as they beat many other more experienced members with more master points than them.
Carole Cooke, a long-time member of the bridge club, presented the cup which she had donated to the Club in 1996. Carole was particularly delighted at Bill and Di’s win as she was their first bridge teacher when they started learning the game.
