Project & Community Grants For Club Lights
Tamborine Pony Club is in the process of installing lights around our main showjumping arena. The Club applied for an Active Gameboy Project Grant which was aimed at clubs either installing or upgrading lights or improving their grounds. The project cost is $95,752 with the Club needing to provide 20% of the cost: our contribution is $9,151, and we were very grateful to the Scenic Rim Regional Council for their Major Community Grant of $10,000.
The installation of lights will allow the Club to have rallies in the late afternoon and evening in the hotter months, Club jump and training evenings plus the ability to earn extra income by hiring the facility and running showjumping training rounds open to everyone.
The power poles are installed, and power has been run to each pole: we await the arrival of the lights and crossarms to complete the project.
