Tamborine Mountain Bridge Club Wins @ Gold Coast Congress
Mary Simon and Kevin Hamilton-Reen from Tamborine Mountain Bridge Club won a prize for the Best Qld Team in Intermediate level at the recent Gold Coast Congress playing with a pair from Sunnybank Bridge Club. The Gold Coast Congress is held at the Convention Center for 8 days in Feb. The teams events were played over 3 days and 52 teams entered from Australia wide.
Mary said they “decided to change their system to keep up with the others who are playing at their level. Up until now they have just been playing a basic system which has worked well for them. Bridge is fun and very addictive. You never stop learning and are never perfect. If they were perfect they wouldn’t keep coming back. Each hand of cards you pick up is a challenge. It is great for a healthy mind.
