Celebrating Queensland Day In Jubilee Park!
Scenic Rim Regional Council invited the community to a free Queensland Day Family Fun Day celebrating Queensland’s Birthday (officially 6 June) and the region’s newest citizens.
Jubilee Park Beaudesert hosted Queensland’s 165th birthday celebration on Sunday 2 June with all the fun of the fair including an animal farm, reptile display, face painting, jumping castles, sausage sizzle, sporting displays, and live music.
Mayor Tom Sharp, conducted the citizenship ceremony for 44 new citizens, and encouraged them all to write the next chapter in their story as they formally became Australian citizens.
“This Queensland Day marks 165 years since Queensland became an independent colony separate from New South Wales and this year is even more special as Beaudesert celebrates its 150th Anniversary in 2024!” Mayor Tom said.
