Well, ‘The Wayward Johnsons’ are here to help! As well as helping with any podiatry issues, The Wayward Johnsons are a local Tamborine Village covers band playing regularly at local venues. The original band members John Schomberg, Steve Denley, and John Quirk have played together for the last 20 years. They have been joined in the last 2 years by Euan (John’s son) and Joe (Steve’s son) who have brought a great energy to the band. Joe is studying piano at the conservatory of music and their drummer, John Quirk has also enrolled this year as a mature age student at “the Con” to pursue his drumming passion.
Their recent gig at Tamborine Mountain Bowls CLub had the punters dancing and singing along to songs everyone knows from The Beatles, The Cure, Pink Floyd, and Blur to name but a few. They are playing locally next at Canungra Hotel (free entry) on August 2nd and are very excited to announce their ‘70s Tribute Show’ on September 14th at St Bernards Hotel.
