@Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship Finals
Tamborine Mountain Dancer Georgia Lorange recently made the Finals of Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship.
The Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarships provide the most valuable and prestigious awards in the Southern Hemisphere to encourage students in the study of the art of ballet. 16 finalists (8 in each age group) took to the Concert Hall stage at the Sydney Opera House on 21 July and danced for a live audience and adjudicating panel of industry luminaries.
Georgia trains at TMDA under Debbie Landel. Her notable achievements to date are: Candidate for the 2024 Prix de Lausanne; Winner of the Australian YAGP Senior Classical Ballet Section (2023); Winner of the BPAC Senior Ballet Classical Scholarship (2023); Winner of the Cecchetti Lucie Saronova Memorial Award (2022); and 3rd Place at the Paris YAGP (Senior Classical Section).
