Significantly Important Part Of Our Community
The first thing Minetta and Cassie at the Tamborine Post Office want you, as our community, to know is that they are a team and ensure you, they are a firm part of our community! The new drivers are doing the best they can – noting vast improvement with deliveries – as they all move steadily and carefully into the digital age. As the drivers familiarise themselves with the area, parcels being returned have lessened significantly.
They also require you to know that the Post Office will become very ‘swamped’ on rainy days as the drivers do not leave your parcels in uncovered areas if wet. A safe place is needed each time the drivers deliver so a suggestion is to acquire a parcel box if you don’t already have one. Given the current growth rate of the community, it is best to be mindful of where a parcel can be left.
Our local Post Office provides an essential service to our community, not only for postal items of stamps and parcels but also for banking services and gifts. (They do not do passports, lands and titles, or tax file numbers.)
Our team also would like you to know for smoother processing, the mail leaves the post office at 5pm sharp each weekday, a physical licence or Digital ID is required by law for Collection of parcels that require identification.
Minetta and Cassie also help Santa and Mrs Claus to deliver Santa Letters – so Santa can return to feeding the reindeers and Mrs Claus can get back to baking cookies for the Elves!
Our local post office is the longest-opening post office in the area – something to be very proud of as locals, for our post office has significantly stood the test of time for Tamborine!
The Tamborine Post Office is conveniently open for our community, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.
It is wonderful to welcome Minetta back to our Community Post Office, along with Cassie or Our Friday Lady! They are looking forward to assisting you when you next visit Our Post Office here in the Village.
