Beaudesert Show Society Unveils Victors
The Beaudesert Showgrounds were buzzing with energy and anticipation as the Beaudesert Show Society unveiled the brilliant victors of the highly anticipated 2024 Show Ambassador Program. It was an occasion to remember, filled with laughter, cheers, and a whole lot of heart, on Saturday, 27 July, during a fabulous community afternoon tea.
Steering the event with wit and charm were none other than Beaudesert Show Ambassador Alumni Sarah MacGinley and the talented 2023 Show Rural and Junior Ambassadors, Sarah Thorpe and Kieren Cahill. Their enthusiasm set the stage for an afternoon brimming with camaraderie and excitement.
In a display of talent and commitment to the beloved Beaudesert community, entrants left the audience in awe with their charisma and dedication. Tim Andrews, the Show Ambassador Coordinator, beamed with pride at the tremendous turnout and the exceptional quality of the participants.
Describing the event as a true celebration of community and show spirit, Tim Andrews expressed, “This year’s Ambassador Afternoon was a testament to the remarkable individuals who embody the essence of Beaudesert Show. The level of talent and passion displayed by the participants was nothing short of inspiring.”
Entrants for 2024 Rural Ambassador were Chloe Taylor, Charlotte Stubbs and Tiffany Chase, Showgirl Entrants were Tiffany Chase, Charlotte Stubbs, and Brianna Turner and the Junior Ambassador Entrants were Poppi Edwards, Lily Buchanan, Charlotte Lorenz-Stockdale, Alex Buchanan, Elizabeth Scott, and Sophie Ward.
The competition was fierce, as contestants dazzled the judges with their unique talents and unwavering dedication. Following an intense deliberation, the winners emerged, symbolising the very soul of the Beaudesert Show Society Ambassadorship.
Charlotte Stubbs claimed the coveted title of 2024 Showgirl, with Brianna Turner shining as the deserving Runner-up. Chloe Taylor seized the spotlight as the victorious 2024 Rural Ambassador, while Poppi Edwards wowed everyone to become the Junior Show Ambassador, with Sophie Ward declared the stellar Runner-up, amidst tough competition from all entrants.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Show Society President Ian Harrison, State Member for Scenic Rim Jon Krause MP, President of Qld Ag Shows Mr David Wilson, Cr Steve Moriarty, and Cr Kerri Cryer, among others. The afternoon was made even more special with delightful music from local duo ‘Josh & Maya’.
Amidst cheers and applause, Mr Andrews extended his gratitude to all sponsors and supporters, especially Silver Show Sponsor Franklin Constructions, for their unwavering support towards the Show Ambassador movement.
As the winners, runners-up, and entrants gear up to represent the Beaudesert community at various events across Scenic Rim, and at the prestigious Beaudesert Show on 6 & 7 September, the Beaudesert Show Society sends hearty congratulations to the winners and heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions.
